Comprehensive

Psychiatric Evaluation

On the first visit we will meet for about 1.5 - 2 hours online or in person. Our goal is first and foremost to build a trusting patient-practitioner relationship. We do this by discussing your pain points with the sole purpose of getting to know you as a person, not just your “symptoms”.

A comprehensive psychiatric assessment seeks to review what you are experiencing and begin to establish a route for treatment.

We specialize in comprehensive psychiatric evaluation of the following in children, teens, and adults:

Anxiety

Depression

Insomnia

Attention/Focus Concerns

Mood Swings

Trauma Related Body and Mind Responses

Obsessive and Compulsive Behaviors

After the first meeting, what comes next?

Follow Up Appointments

After the initial visit we will meet together to discuss how you have been since we last met. We will discuss the recommendations that are working well and those we need to make changes to. This could include discussing medication, lab work, or holistic interventions.

These visits are time based which gives you a choice. 45-minute and 60-minute sessions offer time to integrate psychotherapy. 30-minute session are more focused, these are generally for those that may be already meeting with another therapist and we are addressing medication and holistic interventions only.

Each individual treatment plan is different but the frequency of visits generally range from weekly to every 2-3 months. We will discuss this and decide together.

What about reaching you between appointments?

Communication Between Appointments

Our patients love that we are available for communication between appointments to address concerns that may come up. Many of our patients that take medication feel at ease knowing that they can communicate any changes with us and receive a prompt answer. Emails and calls are generally returned within 1-3 business days.
